Kiara and K-9 Dino
K-9 Dino
My name is Kiara Meier. I served as a Military Police officer in the Army National Guard from 2007 to 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, including a deployment to Haiti in 2009 to aid earthquake relief efforts.
After my service, I moved back to Minnesota and earned my EMS certification at the Saint Paul Fire Academy in 2015. I then worked as a Lead Security Officer at St. Joseph’s Hospital from 2017 to 2022, ensuring the safety of patients and staff.
In 2021, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis (MS), which taught me resilience and adaptability. Today, I work as a Lead Security Dispatcher for M Health Fairview’s East Metro locations, where I use my skills to ensure a safe environment for all.
Thank you, Soldier’s 6, for the love and support you selflessly give to those who have sacrificed parts of their lives in service to others.
